1st 2 episodes previewed on Disney XD in December.

The official Twitter account of the Pokémon franchise revealed on Monday that the Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon (Pokémon Sun & Moon) anime will premiere its regular weekly run on Disney XD in the United States on May 12.

The May 12 special will run two episodes at 9:00 p.m. EDT, followed by a third episode on May 13 at 9:00 a.m. The show will afterward move to weekly schedule of one new episode every Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

Disney XD previewed the first two episodes of the series in December alongside the debut of the Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel anime film.

The previous Pokémon anime series, Pokémon XY & Z, premiered in the U.S. on Cartoon Network in February 2016. The Pokémon Company International also announced that Disney XD and its platforms has acquired the 19 previous seasons of the Pokémon anime, as well as 15 movies, as part of a multi-year distribution deal. The Pokémon anime currently runs on Disney XD in Europe.

The anime series premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliated stations in Japan in November.
