The Ōarai Spring Festival: Kairaku Festa 2017 announced on Sunday that the first of six episodes in the Girls und Panzer das Finale anime project will open in 59 Japanese theaters on December 9. The accompany teaser visual features the Anglerfish team in winter, and its tagline proclaims that the story is reaching its "conclusion finally in six parts!"

The project will also have immersive 4DX and MX4D screenings, after the second episode in the Finale anime project ends its initial run of regular screenings. Each of the immersive screenings will combine two episodes; the first ones will combine the first and second episodes. The next set of immersive screenings will combine the third and fourth episodes, and the last set will combine the fifth and sixth episodes.

The staff is planning "Girls und Panzer der Film Cinematic Concerts" that will play footage from the earlier 2015 film, accompanied by a live orchestra, on June 25 at the Omiya Sonic City Hall and on July 9 at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the music, as it did for the earlier "Girls und Panzer Orchestra Concert ~Herbst Musikfest 2015~."

Finally, voice actress Maya Yoshioka (Anchovy) and producer Kiyoshi Sugiyama will take part in the "Tochi TV Anime Festa 2017" event in Utsunomiya, Tochigi on May 4. (Anchovy's Anzio High School is located in Tochigi Prefecture, and this will be Yoshioka's third straight year at the event.) Tochigi TV is airing the original television series, the Girls und Panzer: This is the Real Anzio Battle! original video anime project, and the 2015 orchestra concert as part of this year's festivities.
